London, 14th of June 2012: The string of accolades and awards for Morocco Mall continues. After winning the MIPIM Awards 2012 for ‘Best Shopping Centre’ back in March, Morocco Mall has been awarded the prestigious GLOBAL RLI Award in the category ‘Most Innovative Retail & Leisure Concept 2012’.
The award, which is highly respected in the industry, is the latest in a wave of media attention and recognitions, which includes also a Guinness World Record™ for having the ‘largest in-store shop façade in the world’, awarded in November 2011, only a few days before the projects opening and the prestigious MIPIM Awards - 'Best Shopping Centre' in March.
The award is further testimony to the success of the project, which is visited by over 90,000 people a day and after only 6 months of operation has become an integral part of Casablanca’s urban fabric.
The GLOBAL RLI Award for Morocco MallI comes just one day after Design International celebrated its latest project opening with La Cartiera, a regional shopping mall in Pompei, Italy. The next major projects are Rio Shopping Centre in Valladolid, Spain, which will open in September 2012 and Cleopatra Mall, a spectacular shopping and entertainment development in Cairo, Egypt, which is currently under construction and expected to open in 2014.
