Maximall Pompeii Opens Its Doors: A Visionary Project at the Foot of Vesuvius

Maximall Pompeii, an innovative shopping and leisure resort, has officially opened near the renowned archaeological site of Pompeii, set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Mount Vesuvius. This groundbreaking project redefines the concept of a shopping center, elevating it from a simple retail space to a dynamic and engaging Social Hub designed to meet diverse needs, promote regional marketing, and foster social engagement.

Maximall Pompeii leverages its strategic location to amplify the area's cultural and tourism appeal, acting as a catalyst for economic and social development throughout the Vesuvian region. Commissioned by the Irgen RE Group, a leading force in Property Development and Management for the commercial sector with over 30 years of expertise, the project sets a new benchmark in architectural and commercial innovation.

The architectural vision, conceived by Design International studio under the leadership of our CEO, Davide Padoa, integrates cutting-edge design with an appreciation for cultural and environmental context. Maximall Pompeii is not merely a commercial hub but a destination, offering visitors an immersive experience that blends shopping with the allure of its proximity to the iconic Pompeii excavations. This unique location, achieved through close collaboration with regional authorities, including the Campania Region, the Superintendency of Fine Arts, and the Municipality of Torre Annunziata, has made the project a singular attraction of extraordinary cultural and commercial significance.

Maximall Pompeii is now a key anchor in the broader territorial redevelopment initiative along the coastline stretching from the port of Torre Annunziata to Castellammare di Stabia. The resort serves as a centerpiece of the area’s transformation, enhancing its cultural, economic, and social landscape.

The design features a harmonious fusion of architecture and landscape, with the external park curated by architect Giorgia Borrelli, head of the landscape department at Design International, while the architectural execution was led by Davide Padoa. The team behind the project includes leading Italian firms such as iDeas (structural design), Manens-Tifs (plant engineering), Arcadis (cost management), and various specialized consultants.

Maximall Pompeii is more than a shopping destination—it stands as an architectural statement and a forward-looking model of urban and regional integration. Its successful opening marks the realization of a vision to create a holistic experience deeply rooted in its extraordinary cultural setting.
